My businesses retain the following personal data of current and past customers: Name, address, phone numbers, email address. This information is kept in a computerised invoicing system along with paper copies of invoices for UK tax records only.
If email or mobile phone communication has occurred between myself and an individual, that individual’s email address or telephone number will have been automatically stored in my email system or smartphone log. Its existence is “forgotten” once our communications have run their course.
I do not use physical addresses, email addresses or phone numbers of data subjects for marketing purposes, nor do I pass on personal data to a third party unless it is necessary for the completion of my work involving that person. I do not sell personal data to other parties. Individuals will not be contacted regarding services or offers outside of the original purpose of the contact without their expressed permission.
If you wish to contact me without leaving a trace of email addresses or phone numbers you can call my landline 01606 835133 prefixing it with 141.
Photographs of individuals held by me do not include biometric data therefore they are not considered to be personal data in GDPR terms. However, images of identifiable individuals will not be used beyond their original purpose without written permission of the individuals concerned, with the following exceptions:
1. General street photography which may include the capture of unknown persons in an image.
2. Event photography where I have been commissioned to record a specific occasion, eg, a conference, wedding, christening, private party. Individuals not wishing to appear in any photographs should make the fact known to both the event organiser and the photographer. Every effort will be made to avoid including the individual in shots but this cannot be guaranteed without positive avoidance action by the individual.
3. I cannot be held responsible for the subsequent use of digital image files which have been passed on to customers in the course of normal trading following a commission. Where image files are passed on, permission is normally granted for printing and sharing purposes only.
